Post a separation from Ericsson, Sony seems to be eyeing the Smartphone market with a new vigour and enthusiasm. Sony has recently launched a new Android device in the Indian market at an approximately price of 36999 Rs.
The Sony Xperia ion is technically a High-range offering but unlike most phones in its price range, the phone runs on a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Dual Core processor. But does it actually offer better performance? Let’s find out
Sony Xperia ion followed after Xperia U and Xperia S and it is a pretty much high end device but it has a same design characteristics that is hard lines curved rear, weighty, very stream line over all a nice hand set but not quite attractive compare to HTC ONE X or Nokia lumia 900.
What you are going to like its 4.6 inches 720p HD reality display with Mobile BRAVIA® Engine with really good pixel (323 ppi) density for sharp details. Sony Xperia ion comes with a 12 MP camera (gives you 16x digital zoom) with auto focus, LED flash and with Exmor R CMOS sensor. With which you can shoots 1080p videos. 720p videos can also be shoot by its 1.3 megapixel Front-facing camera.
The HDMI connection also opens the Xperia ion's TV launcher, a customizable home screen carousel of application shortcuts by which a user can navigate the TV launcher. There are also dedicated buttons for Power, volume control and for camera.
When it come to type message in Xperia ion, its comes up with Scratch-resistant, shatter proof sheet on mineral glass Capacitive touch screen with on-screen QWERTY keyboard. You can also choose between 2 option of Xperia keyboard and Android keyboard with great response.
However Sony is known for its video and audio quality, but with this Xperia ion they gives a completely different and great user experience by its very different music player where you can brose between different music album with its album cover simultaneously with all controls on screen. It supports wider range of audio, video formats. Over all it’s a complete package of smart phone but currently it is coming with 2.3 Gingerbird OS. But let’s we can hope to see it soon coming upgraded version with 4.0 android.
